Official Identification Documents

The following valid Identification Documents should be attached with the accredited forms (as the case require):-
 
Natural Person:-
A- For Jordanians: Any of the following documents should be presented and as the case may be:
  1. Identity Card or passport containing the national identification numbers issued by the Civil Status and Passport Department.
  2. Military Appointment Certificate that includes the full name and the national identification number for the Jordanian military members.
  3. Family Book or Birth Certification for Minors.
B- For Non- Jordanians: Valid Passport.
C- Notes:
  1. Family Book or Birth Certification is accredited to carry out the inheritance transfers for only Jordanian adult heirs who are not physically present at the SDC.
  2. If it is not possible for Palestinians to provide SDC with the Palestinian Authority Passport, any of the following documents is accredited: Refugees travel document, or temporary residence card for the people of the Gaza Strip issued by the Ministry of Interior/ Civil Status and Passport Department in the Kingdom, or Identity card issued by the Palestinian Authority or the Civil Administration of Judea and Samaria Area.
     
Judicial Entity:-
A- For Jordanians:-
  1. Registration Certificate issued by the official relevant authorities or internal by-law or law and as the case may be.
  2. Authorized Signatories Certificate issued by the official relevant authorities.
B- For Non- Jordanians:-
  1. Registration Certificate, duly certified.
  2. Authorized Signatories Certificate issued by the official relevant authorities.
C- Validation Period:-
  The identification documents for the Judicial entity shall be newly issued as of the date of executing a process at the SDC.
D- Authentication:-
  1. The official relevant authorities in the country in which the identification documents were issued, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of that country.
  2. The Representative of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in the country in which the Power of Attorney was issued, if any, or the country's Embassy at the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
  3. The Jordanian Foreign Ministry.
  4. The Jordanian Ministry of Justice.
E- Notes:-
  1. The SDC maintains the original or a copy of the original notarized from the original issuer of the document or a copy of the original identification documents for the judicial entity according to the process needed to be done by the SDC.
  2. If the identification documents for the non-Jordanian judicial entity was issued from outside Jordan and in a language other than Arabic, it shall be certified by the parties in article (D) above and then translated by a certified translator and shall be notarized from a notary in Jordan.
  3. If the process needed to be done by the SDC is to identify the investor through the broker or custodian, a copy of the original identification documents which are provided by the concerned member on his full responsibility, is sufficient.
